My special way to make content easier

Listen to the podcast

If you find yourself rebelling against rigid content strategies, this blog post is for you. Many people struggle with batching their content, feeling constrained by the structure. Today, I’m going to break down three different approaches to content creation and tell you what you need to create a content flow that keeps you consistent and on track without feeling suffocated.

Three Approaches to Content Creation

Day-to-Day Posting: This method involves planning, creating, and posting content daily. While this can be spontaneous and flexible, it often leads to inconsistency, especially if you have other responsibilities like kids or another job. You might end up ghosting your own account, posting weak content, or just following trends.

Batching Content: Batching means planning, creating, and scheduling a large amount of content in advance, whether for a month or two weeks at a time. While effective for some, this can feel incredibly overwhelming, making you rebel against it

Content Flow: This is the sweet spot—a combination of batching and day-to-day. It allows for flexibility while maintaining consistency and structure. Creating a content flow helps you stay aligned with your content pillars and ensures you’re delivering valuable content to your audience..

Creating a Content Flow

To establish a content flow, you need three key elements:

Understanding Your Ideal Client: Know who your audience is and what they need from you.

Content Pillars and Brand Message: Define the core topics you stand for, teach, and represent in your niche.

Content Commitment: Determine how often you will post, send emails, or go live each week.

Steps to Create Your Content Flow

Choose 5-7 Themes: Select themes that rotate through your posting schedule.

For example, if you’re a health coach, your themes might include:

  • Macros
  • Mindset and body image
  • Savable and shareable recipes
  • Workouts you can do with your kids
  • Opinions on industry trends

If you’re a mindset coach, your themes might look like:

  • Mindset Monday tips
  • Before and after scenarios
  • Weekly client case studies
  • Meditation or manifestation exercises
  • Personal stories of overcoming mindset challenges

Rotate Through Themes: Depending on your posting frequency, rotate through these themes. This ensures variety while maintaining focus on your core message.

Maintain Consistency: By sticking to your themes, your audience will know what to expect from your content. This approach also takes less time to make your posts because you’re not starting from scratch each time.

Benefits of a Content Flow

Creating a content flow empowers you to stay focused and consistent without feeling overwhelmed. It simplifies the content creation process and ensures you’re covering all necessary aspects of your brand message.

Using a content flow, gives you the space to strike a balance between structure and spontaneity, and ultimately ensures your content remains engaging and consistent.
